Huh..who’s there?!
Hey, you. You’re finally awake…and came to check out what the Level One Gamer Dad is playing! Chances are I’m out there leveling up, gathering generally pointless collectibles, doing silly mini-games instead of the main quest, or some other miscellaneous task in hopes of acquiring a platinum trophy. In the meantime, check out any new thoughts and reviews I’ve assembled for you fellow gamers.
Here you will find:
- Game Reviews: I do my Game Reviews a bit different than most reviewers. You won’t find a review for a game after a few hours of play. I will review a game only once the credits roll/Platinum Trophy acquired/100% completion achieved. After completion, I’ll post a thorough review on the game itself and maybe touch up on some themes and issues I found. I tailor them in a way to promote discussion! I love to talk about games so toss your opinions my way!
- GamerDad Discussions: Random thoughts and opinions on various different gaming-related topics.
- Trophy Room: For the Gamers who chase their digital accolades, this page will be a little representation of my favorite Platinum Trophies throughout my gaming journey. Don’t be mistaken, if you’re a completionist of some sort on any platform then check it out too! If you see one that you are struggling on, give me a shout out I might have some tips!

Hades is so well put together, it’s hard to find flaws in its design. It checks all the boxes: amazing music, a masterful and witty narrative, depth and meaningful complexity, and most of all, it was just damn good fun.
